Welcome
A very very warm welcome to Lineve Counselling Services. If I could send automated hugs through a website, then please be assured you would be receiving one right now.
Although this section is meant to be about me and how I got here, this entire service is really all about you, what brings you here and how I can help.
Background
In 2014 I graduated from University with a degree in Law without much of an idea of what I wanted to do with my life longterm. Since 2014 until recently I have worked within the fitness industry which is heavily focused on customer service, meeting customer needs and the overall effects physical health has on mental well-being. As my time working in a private health club came to an end, I decided to go full steam ahead with Counselling which has had a place within my heart for many recent years now. I have a Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills, a Level 3 Diploma in Counselling and a QLS Advanced Diploma in Counselling. I have helped people navigate through, process and heal from the tough mental and emotional battles thrown at them through real life situations. I have offered comfort and a safe space in ensuring that the most vulnerable are listened to. This has brought me great hope, empathy and compassion for the world.
My journey through life has not always been smooth sailing as with anyone else. I have personally had to navigate through and process some very challenging life lessons. I have suffered childhood trauma mostly through witnessing domestic violence; I have dealt with insecurities, low self-esteem and low self-confidence as a result of bullying. The relationship that I have had with my parents has been pretty much turbulent throughout (I love them both dearly). I have had my heart broken, I have suffered Church hurt, "backslid" and at times felt so let down by the people around me. I would love to say it all stopped there but it didn't. I have battled postpartum anxiety, depression and intrustive thoughts since having children and have even had to grieve the loss (not death) of people that I love. I say all of this to say, life can be very overwhelming with no let up at times and it can feel so easy to just want to shut yourself off from the world. Its easy to convince yourself that no one cares and that you are better off alone. I can tell you now that this is a lie. The liberation and sense of peace that comes through accepting life for what it is and healing from your hurt; it is very much worth the work in you facing the pain, with a little help of course. All it takes is one little baby step at a time and a willingness from you.
Currently
I am soon to be 31 and currently living in Birmingham. I am a Mother to two beautiful babies Shyne and Phoenix. I have a wonderful supportive partner and absolutley love food, nature, reading and gaming. Oh and I love a good quote. The most important thing to me in life is to be my true authentic self, flaws and all. My passion as cliché and as cheesy as it sounds, is to help others become the very best version of themselves.
Lineve Counselling Services
Here I welcome not just the talkers but also the typers and writers as type therapy and journalling for me has played a massive part within my own personal healing journey.
Counselling has been a part of my life for many years and I feel now is the time to share the wisdom and skills in what I have learnt with you; to help. Nothing brings me greater joy than witnessing a person come out on the other side of their battle(s) and share their story to help others. This is how we change the world.
On here you can find the counselling areas that I specialise in, testimonials from people that I have counselled and the contact page for you to get in touch.
I hope to hear from you soon
